Write a script that fits your ad

Prepare a clear script, match it to the intended duration, and understand what happens during planning.

01Give the script a simple shape

Start with a recognizable moment or problem, show the product helping, and end with a clear next step. Keep the brand name and product description consistent throughout.

Separate what the viewer should hear from production directions. Make speaker changes clear and use the same character names as your selected cast. Avoid asking one short scene to contain several locations, actions, and lines.

02Match the words to the time

Read the script aloud at the pace you want the ad to have. Include pauses, reactions, and the final call to action in that timing. A script that only fits when rushed usually needs fewer words or more time.

In Ad movies, the Your script field shows a word count and a rough fit for the chosen duration. Treat that as a planning aid and address any length warning before submitting.

Example

Opening: “Late again?” Action: Maya checks her empty key hook, then taps the tracker app. Product moment: A chirp leads her to the couch. Ending: “Find your everyday essentials with Finder.”

03Understand the wait on the script page

Providing the spoken words does not remove all planning. The product still needs to divide the story into scenes and decide what the pictures and motion should show. Longer scripts can require substantially more scene planning.

Check the stage shown on the project before submitting another copy. A running planning job may still be working even though there is no video preview yet. If the project reports a failure, use its retry control after reading the error.

04Approve the meaning as well as the wording

At script or storyboard review, check who speaks, what each scene shows, and how the product enters the story. Confirm that the images support the spoken line instead of introducing a different claim.

Make the important story changes here. Fixing a script before generating media avoids paying to replace scenes that no longer belong. Keep Review on when you want to approve the plan before rendering.
