01Upload the video you want to follow
From your workspace, choose Clone an ad, or open Ad movies and start a new ad. Add the original file in Clone a video. Wait for the duration to finish loading before submitting.
The reference guides the action, timing, and cuts. The flow divides the source into sections so longer ads can be made as several clips and joined into one movie.
02Describe the changes you want
After uploading, use the optional Changes you want field to describe edits such as a different outfit. Identify the person or object clearly. These directions are saved with the video and included in planning and clip generation.
Explicit changes override the matching reference details. Other details stay as they are. Review the plan and finished clips to check that the changes were applied consistently.
Example
Give the main customer a green coat. Keep her selected reference face, the clerk’s outfit, and the original dialogue and camera movement.
03Choose the brand and the people
Select your saved brand and choose the characters under Who is in it. Selecting a character also includes the assets in that character’s folder. Use Select more to find older characters.
Use a reference that makes the intended face and outfit easy to see. If a replacement looks very similar to the source actor, it can be hard to tell whether the identity changed. A distinct reference makes that check easier; it does not guarantee a face replacement.
The replacement references matter most when they agree. Avoid picking several incompatible faces or outfits for the same role. Check the planned cast before approving.
04Decide what happens to the words
The default cloning option keeps the original wording and swaps the brand. Choose Rewrite if you want the words adapted more broadly. Select the correct brand before submitting, then read the resulting plan rather than assuming every spoken name or product claim was changed.
Keep Review on while testing a new reference. The flow can stop for you to approve the replacement plan, new reference images when needed, and rendered clips.
05Check the replacement in motion
Watch for the face, outfit, product, spoken brand name, and transitions between sections. A correct outfit is not proof that the face changed. Check each separately.
If something is wrong, describe the visible mistake and the intended result in the review note. Approve only once you are comfortable continuing; rendering more clips spends more credits.
Example
Keep the timing and camera movement. The main character still looks like the source actor. Use the selected character’s face and keep her blue jacket consistent. The bottle should match the selected brand’s product reference.
